We are looking for a Test Principle Technical Expert to be a part of the team in Mora. Your role is to coordinate and perform test & validation of new and changed products for Cable Support Products to secure that they meet market requirements as well as external requirements from authorities regulated in respective standards.
Your Responsibilities
• Exposure to mechanical testing equipment and procedures – Mechanical, Fire resistance, Corrosion, Short circuit.
• Basic knowledge of International standards, Directives, Regulations – IEC, UL, CE
• Prepare for IEC or CLC WG meetings and represent business in national standardization meeting (plenary or WG meetings) together with OD, Marketing, and the standardisation network.
• Actions: Defend and promote our position according to strategy. Anticipate moves from various actors (manufacturers, local authorities).
• Be creative in V&V process to simulate customer application and most unlikely event encountered by customers. Accountable for a robust validation action in the qualification process.
• Expertise in leading investigations related to Field failures and quality defects and come up with solutions.
• Produce prototypes to facilitate evaluation of design proposals.
• Write test reports, analyse test results, and give feedback to Designers, Project leaders, Quality, Marketing etc.
• Specify, plan, manage and coordinate external tests using external test houses
• Ensure that all tests are performed under the updated version of the standard (if any).
• Manage project deliverables according to PEP, PMP and QVE in time.
Who are you?
The required skills and experience for this position are as follows;
• Basic knowledge on International standards – IEC, UL, CE
• Test & Validation independent on the field
• Skilled to read and interpret external standards
• Skilled in Data collection, investigating, drafting logical conclusion with evidences and communicate to required stake holders.
• Nice to have skilled related to Sheet metal surfaces and coatings.
• Education: Industrial or technical engineer, preferable in electro mechanics specializations or: Technical education, covering statistical analysis and basic mechanics for test performance and test development, or equivalent skills achieved through experience.
• User level: MS Office -Tools
• Test equipment related software
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
